When I first looked at the list of “medicines” I decided i already had compassion, selflessness, and humility. Compassion and selflessness go hand in hand in my mind. Compassion and selflessness can help you on your journey because it will make you a stronger person to put other people before yourself. Humility is also useful because Ive noticed that it helps you to not look like a huge idiot when you brag about yourself. The medicines I decided to look for were courage, joy, faith, patience, strength, integrity, and insight. Joy is such an important thing to have in your life. Without joy the world would just not be a fun place. Finding joy in even the most tedious activities and terrible situations is a great way to make it through your journey. I chose courage because sometimes I lack courage in certain situations. Sometimes i find it hard to be myself simply because I am afraid of what other people might think of me. i think its important for the journey to have courage because some situations and tasks might seem scary and impossible to complete, but courage will help me get through them. I think that because the hero journey will most likely be very long and sometimes seem tedious and other times I will get frustrated because of failures, patience is a definite must. Patience will bring me peace of mind when I can’t do everything the first time. I am very impatient when I can’t do something right. Patience would be a great virtue for me. I have enough physical strength, but i lack mental and emotional strength. I suffer from a HUGE mental block. I used to be a really good runner because I had the best state of mind. Now I can barely run a mile and I know its all in my head. When things get hard for me I tend to give up. Strength will help me keep going even in the toughest of times. I think i have integrity, but sometimes its really hard to use it. I have good morals, but sometimes i fall to bad choices. Sometimes i like to do what is easy even if it isnt necessarily right. If i got more integrity i think that would reinforce everything and make me a better person, maybe even a hero. Insight is a great thing to have. Understanding everything that is going on in your life is definitely helpful on your journey towards becoming a hero. I also think humor is super important, but I did not look for it.
ok so today i was supposed to go to the jesse mccartney concert…fail. I love you j mac. I was unfortunately not able to attend. I am currently watching the oscars. I was really happy that heath won best supporting actor, I really think he deserved it! Also slumdog better win best picture because it was. ok i also just finished up my mock application on naviance. the hardest part was the three adjectives to describe yourself. i was wondering what are three adjectives you would use to describe me?

Ok so the worst part of this is trying to come up with something to write about. so I will just ramble again lol. so alice is awesome and made me like a bajillion cds because i lost my itunes library. its been a year since i lost my love heath ledger. he was also nominated for an academy award yesterday for his performance as the joker. now i am really sad. but also we got a new president this week, which is awesome. I really hope the new administration figures things out. i believe in Obama and have hope for our country’s future. I also had two swim meets this week so far and one tomorrow. im pretty sure we won both the meets so now we are undefeated in dual and tri meets. (the girls are). for this meet on saturday I have to be at brebeuf at 6 30 AM. just in case you guys didnt know, i am not a morning person and this does not make me happy. especially because this meet is going to last until the late afternoon lol. oh ya and alice is awesome again cause she went to my meet last night and drove me back to brebeuf so i didnt have to wait for the bus which takes a long time. i had dunkin donuts for breakfast this morning. it was delicious. the past two nights i have been going to bed really early, so now i feel extra energized at school. and the best part about all this is i didnt forget to write my post this week! yay rose!
Thanks for everyone who commented on my last post. I was kinda down and yes very frustrated. and come this sunday guess what i was NOT doing, my post and comments and o ya i forgot to get caught up with my call blog. BUT i did successfully do the song reflection, thank goodness. I am setting a goal to get officially all the way caught up by next weekend. I am sorry for all the complaining and thanks again for those of you who joined me in the pity party i threw for myself. And i really don’t hate the blog, i just don’t like that its smarter than me. I actually kind of like the blog. I promise I am done with complaining about the blog now.
I am really getting frustrated in this class. I don’t know how but I never seem to hear when things are due. or something idk. Its so frustrating tho. This is the start of the new semester and I’ve already missed a song reflection and that balloons reflection that i wasnt even here for. I just don’t understand. I’m getting everything done for every other class but of course I cant in this one where my grade is basically based on participation. I’m actually kind of mad. cause I dont like this blog thing. It doesnt work at my house and Im always forgetting about it. Idk a post every week and three comments. AND no matter what i NEVER get full points on the comments cause someone won’t moderate my comment.
I don’t really know what to write about, so i can just tell you some random stuff.
1. I had my first meet of the swim season against Warren Central last night. It was awesome
2. Laura and I had a scary experience in her jeep a couple weeks ago. A big truck/suv rushed at us head on. But its all good cause we both drive jeeps.
3. My favorite place to get breakfast is Dunkin’. I absolutely love their doughnuts. I get a vanilla frosted and rainbow sprinkle everytime i go. I also like le peep if i want to sit down.
4. I really like chocolate.
5. I saw Australia over break. It made it into my top 5 favorite movies of all time. I LOVE Hugh Jackman. He’s hot. The story is just so cute. I cried a lot, but they were joyful tears as well as sad tears. It is so good and I definitely reccomend it to everyone.
6. Twilight is amazing. I don’t care what anyone says. I love these books and the movie is pretty good. I really really really want to be a vampire or a werewolf. I’m torn.
My golden seed has sprouted into a glorious mustard plant. I watered it everyday even though some people told me not to. I’m really excited I’ll take a picture and post it up here. You guys should be jealous, especially you Alice cause your never going to have kids.
